Forms That Teach Us
Forms That Teach Us
Forms That Teach Us is a series of focused 8-week studio units, each centred on a single ceramic form.
Rather than moving quickly from one project to the next, participants stay with a form long enough to deepen skill, refine technique, and develop a more responsive relationship with clay. Through repetition and reflection, each form becomes a teacher.
The series can be taken independently or alongside the Ceramic Journey Series and is open to anyone with foundational wheel-throwing experience.
Unit 1 — Bowls
Explore the bowl as a form for developing scale, proportion, balance, and material sensitivity. Beginning with functional tableware, we progress towards larger centrepiece bowls, refinement, surface exploration, and glaze response.
More Units Coming Soon
Future units will continue to explore individual forms, offering opportunities to deepen skill, understanding, and creative voice through focused practice.
Price Includes clay, glazes and test firings. Completed works additional $19 per kg (including bisque and glaze)
